the pines

The original Pines circuit was a beloved destination for mountain bikers, but the scheduled felling of the area saw its demise. However, even before the last tree had fallen, our team was hard at work designing and constructing The Pines Mk 2.

While the new trail shares some similar alignments to the original, we've taken it to the next level. The Pines Mk 2 is bigger, faster, and way better than its predecessor. Our unique design approach and attention to detail have resulted in a trail that will leave riders grinning from ear to ear.

Magic Dirt was the co-builder with Common Ground on the Compartment 10 trails. “Bender” and “Pugsley” were both designed and constructed by Magic Dirt, as well as several of the ascents. Pugsley included Margaret Rivers first wall ride and was built as pure fun flow, with Bender aimed more at technical flow.
